Sony BDP S370 - Sony Blu-ray Players
A low-mid range Sony model, the S370 is a fairly standard Blu-ray play, with no bells and whistles, just Sony's commitment to quality on the basics of display and sound. Having said that, we are not knocking this model, as while it's manual will not keep you amused for hours reading about extra functions (that most people never use) it does have the full range that you would expect even from a more expensive model.
Online content can be accessed wirelessly via a Sony USB dongle which is a great feature that eliminates the need for cabling (this will save you time and the pain of finding that long wooden drill bit and hoovering up all the brick dust afterwards). The system will also allow you to watch your DVDs as well, although the experience will be an improvement thanks to DVD upscaling technology - Sony have got it all covered here.
Basically another upgrade of the 350, you are getting the same quality, but with a few little improvement (loading tray mechanism being one). It is just short of falling into the bargain basement category, but for that extra £25 you get a lot more for your money, and besides, Sony never put out sub standard goods - that's why people love the brand.

Sony BDP S370 - Review
This review is from: Sony BDPS370 Blu-ray Player (Electronics) Got this delivered Saturday. After unpacking, was surprised how much smaller this is height wise compared with my S350. The player is now in gloss black, which I do prefer, apart from the inevitable dusting. Very, very easy to setup and load times are also very fast, even from a cold start probably at least 75% faster than the S350.
One nice update is the removal of that bright blue 24 fps led indicator and also the eject button is now on the remote. The drawer mechansim is now a standard tray loading, so the drop down flap has gone. Performance is quite simply outstanding with no issues. Future firmware updates promise BBC iplayer amongst other things. "johnallum1" (UK)
