Sony BDP S360 - Sony Blu-ray Players
A step up from the S350, the S360 has been designed specifically for High Definition TV, but does not hold back on perform=mace for regular Blu-ray viewing. Basically Samsung are thinking ahead, and not going down the 3D route, but are focusing on being able to utilise the growth in HD TV channels and programs.
The model has Precision Cinema HD upscale (DVD up scaling to 1080p), so even your old DVDs will look better being played, especially as the technology is onboard to deal with scratches (whoever started the the rumour that CDs and DVDs can't be scratched should be taken outside and....). What you will see even on your old movies is smoother imaging, and not eye watering starkness.
Most digital formats are supported, probably more than most people would need anyway, but it's nice to have so many options. There is Jpeg compatibility, so you can use the player as a high quality image viewer for those holiday photo nights in, and with a quick start up mode, it is one of the better models in the price range.

Sony BDP S360 - Review
I bought this product on the strength of the customer reviews and have not regretted it. This is my first Blue-Ray player and as I wasn't sure what all the fuss was about or whether I would notice much of a difference compared to my current DVD player. Having now played both DVD and Blue-Ray discs I can honestly say that its a cracking piece of kit. I notice the price is even lower as I write this review (but I'm not bitter) from when I purchased the item which makes it even more of a bargain.
