The minimal, sleek and stylish Samsung BD P2500 Blu-ray player is Samsung’s latest 5th-generation player. Recently launched at the IFA 2008 show in Berlin, the BD P2500 is a stylish piece of kit for sure.
The BD P2500 is compatible with the latest Blu-ray interactive features such as Bonus View (Profile 1.1) and BD Live (Profile 2.0),which means it's capable of accessing Internet-enabled features (often referred to as "BD-Live" features) available on some movies. To access such features, you'll only need to have the BD P2500 connected to the Internet via its Ethernet port. Unlike most Blu-ray players, you don't need to connect a memory stick because the BD P2500 has 1GB of internal memory.
The BD P2500 audio capabilities support 7.1-channel sound systems. The Samsung BD P2500 can output Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS as an uncompressed PCM signal. A firmware update will provide support for DTS-HD HR (High Resolution) decoding. With its host of immediate ‘out of the box’ features, the BD P2500 is a great Blu-ray player that provides highest-quality audio and an incredible picture.

Samsung BD P2500 Review
I decided not to skimp and not buy one of the "cheapo" entry level bluray players after hearing how slow most were and also how most were stripped of inputs and other functions.After doing alot of research, talking with a friend who bought this bluray player, and after trying out several units in the stores themselves, i decided that the Samsung BD-P2500 was the best Bluray player features/quality vs. cost and i've been extremely happy with the player since the day i picked it up.Not only is the color,picture, dvd upscaling better than most other bluray players, it blows away the new Sony BD350 AND BD550.
